Paso Doble by Miquel Barceló and Josef Nadj at sa Llonja
The performance represents the creation process of a pictoric work of art.
Last Sunday the artist Miquel Barceló and the dancer Josef Nadj presented in sa Lonja in Palma "Paso Doble", a performance that represents the process of the creation of a pictoric work of art. Barceló and Nadj work with a mural of fresh clay, modelling it to create their own work of art.
The performance "Paso Doble" premiered at the last Festival d'Avignon and will be performed at Sa Llonja on 19th, 20th and 21st.
With this performance Miquel Barceló culminates a month of February when he has been invited Doctor Honoris Causa by the Balearic University and has opened his work in the Mallorca Cathedral.
The sa Llonja building had already housed works by Barceló in several collective exhibitions, the first in 1986, and in 2003 he held an individual retrospective exhibition with twenty-one large works.
