Catalan Book Week
From February 25 to March 6 in the patio of la Misericordia.
The patio of la Misericordia of Palma will host from February 25 to March 6 the 22nd "Setmana Català del Llibre en Català" organized by the Gremi de Llibreters de Mallorca with the sponsorship of the Directorate of Language Policy of the Insular Council of Mallorca and the Directorate General for Language Policy of the Government of the Balearic Islands.
Llibreria Lluna, Literanta, Quart Creixent, Llibres Mallorca, Fiol Llibres, Embat Llibres, La Biblioteca de Babel and Àlias are the bookshops that are participating in the week by selling 50,000 books.
Book presentations, storytelling and lectures are some of the activities that comprise the program of the "Setmana del Llibre en Català" this year. The inauguration of the Week will be held on Friday 25 at 18 p.m., with the traditional opening speech by the writer Lolita Bosch.
