Every year over the fourth or the last weekend in November the municipality of Sa Pobla holds its autumn fair, which was created in 1991 to fuse the three old local fairs and to promote agriculture, commerce and gastronomy. The programmed events during the fair start on the Friday and Saturday of the previous weekend with some concerts and the opening of different exhibitions. The previous Sunday, amongst other cultural activities, worth stressing are the "Trobada de Xeremiers i Fira de Luthiers", organised by the Associació Cultural Albopàs, and the gathering of giants.
The festivities continue throughout the week to give way to the fair and exhibitions on the Saturday and Sunday, which range from the typical food, clothes and artisan stalls to the exhibitions of vehicles, agricultural machinery, plus a mediaeval market, animal show, antique furniture, tools, etc.
Meanwhile, since the last few editions, the Plaza Major is the scene, most successful in the public's opinion, of some of the traditional Poblera life. For example previously they have shown the "matances" (pig slaughter process) or the customs and ways of working in the "Marjal", the fertile plain in the municipality which is dedicated mostly to irrigation farming. In the Plaza Major every year they also set up a permanent stage for the various performances during the weekend.
One of the main attractions of the fair is the gastronomy exhibition in which the participation by some twenty bars and restaurants in the town. They offer dishes specially prepared for this celebration.
