The Natural Park s'Albufera of Mallorca, with a protected area of 1.708,75 Ha, is situated facing the bay of Alcudia, in the municipalities of Muro and Sa Pobla.
The wetland of s'Albufera is a Special Protection Area for Birds (ZEPA), and is one of the most important ecosystems in the Balearics and Pitiüses. The birds, the eels, the water, the bridges, the canals and the vegetation of the rushes, together with the beach and dunes, form a very special natural area for nature lovers.
On regular basis, the park holds different activities aimed at promoting the environmental and cultural values of the area, such as video and photo sessions, guided visits, demonstrations of the the traditional art of fishing and other activities related to the popular culture.
The access to the park is on foot or bybicycle via the Pont dels Anglesos and the entry is free, but permission must be obtained from the Park Reception Centre.
Visiting times are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m from April 1 to September 30, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. from October 1 to March 31.
