Biel Majoral presented on Thursday, at the head office of SGA in Palma, his new record: "Temps, temps, temps", produced and
edited by Produccions Blau.
This is the second record by Majoral with his team of musicians, since "Vou veri vou per no dormir". According to comments by the
composer-singer, this record should have been called "cançons algaidines" as nearly all the authors of the words are from Algaida:
Llorenç Capellà "Batle", Pere Capellà, Bartomeu Memes... "[...] The title, however, is Temps... temps... time, and not only for the
name of the song dedicated to Salvador Puig Antic (assassinated by the Franquist regime in 1974) but also because on this record
the music is in the popular reach of three far off mixed eras: the melodies for the vital denouncing and thoughts that configure a life;
the songs of the beginning of the century that represent particular denouncements with events and names; and the musical support
to the thoughts and sensations of impotence generated by Franquism and all the national domination. [...]"
On Biel Majoral's web
www.mallorcaweb.com/majoral the front page of the record can be found, by Toni de Cúber, the presentation
text by Llorenç Capellà, Majoral's own words that accompany the CD, and also the words of the songs with audio files to listen to
two songs from this new compact online.
