Andrea Víctrix is the title of the famous book by Llorenç
Villalonga that is situated in Mallorca in 2050, making a caricature of
a world in which man has been dominated by techniques and the absolute
power of the State.
Connected with this book, the
Fundació
Casa Museu Llorenç Villalonga in Binissalem will open on Thursday,
December 18, at 8.30 p.m. the exhibition "TURBCLUB, Andrea Víctrix,
visions del futur", formed by a group of futuristic photographs of Mallorca,
a report on these photographs accompanied by industrial music mixed with
fragments of the chant of the Sibil·la, and a selection of texts
from the novel. The exhibition, commissioned by Silvia Ventayol, can be
visited until spring 2004.
Coinciding with the inauguration of the exhibition, there will be the
Prize Giving of the III Premi Casa Museu Llorenç Villalonga, won
by Tomeu Vidal Pizà with the production "Una vida d'Era i no era:
mossèn".
