Enlargement of the marina of S'Estanyol

High environment, landscape and social impact.

The project for the enlargement of the marina of S'Estanyol, which foresees increasing the number of mooring from the current 285 to 638, is now being exhibited to the public. The GOB has presented allegations where they describe the high environmental impact of the project and denounce that the enlargement affects an area which is protected by several autonomic and European laws.

As for the impact of the project, the environmental association considers that it will affect the littoral dynamics, it will contribute to the contamination of the sea, it will destroy part of the posidonia fields that exist in front of the coast line and it will unbalance the town of S'Estanyol.
