With the slogan "No n'hi ha prou" (there is not enough) next Saturday,
May 10, as from 6 p.m. the IX Diada Popular per la Llengua i l'Autogovern,
will be held in Palma, organised by the Obra Cultural Balear (
OCB)
with the collaboration of some 20 entities.
The programme includes the formation of a Human Chain for the Catalan
language "Francesc de Borja Moll" from the Plaza Major to the Plaza de
la Llotja, where there will be a concentration, lunch and party with performances
by Joan Bibiloni and
Música
Nostra. During the route of the Cadena Humana, theatrical groups, such
as
Cucorba and
Elàstic
Nou Teatre will form Giant Human Dominoes.
The Day this year coincides with the end of the
Correllengua
2003 organised by
Joves
de Mallorca per la Llengua and the start of the fourth edition of the
Trobada
Músics per la Llengua that will be held in Santa Eugènia
this week end.
