Day for the Catalan Language

Day for the Catalan Language
With the slogan "No n'hi ha prou" (there is not enough) next Saturday, May 10, as from 6 p.m. the IX Diada Popular per la Llengua i l'Autogovern, will be held in Palma, organised by the Obra Cultural Balear (OCB) with the collaboration of some 20 entities.

The programme includes the formation of a Human Chain for the Catalan language "Francesc de Borja Moll" from the Plaza Major to the Plaza de la Llotja, where there will be a concentration, lunch and party with performances by Joan Bibiloni and Música Nostra. During the route of the Cadena Humana, theatrical groups, such as Cucorba and Elàstic Nou Teatre will form Giant Human Dominoes.

The Day this year coincides with the end of the Correllengua 2003 organised by Joves de Mallorca per la Llengua and the start of the fourth edition of the Trobada Músics per la Llengua that will be held in Santa Eugènia this week end.
