The main floor of the Casal Solleric in Palma is housing until June
29 the exhibition "Teatre del Minotaure" by
José
Manuel Ciria (Manchester, 1960). The artist, considered to be one of
the most original painters of its generation, presents in this exhibition
his most recent series, featuring automatism, geometry and collage.
The exhibition by Hungarian photographer
Robert
Capa (1913-1954) called "Els rostres de la història" can be
visited in the mezzanine floor until July 15. When he was 25 years old,
the British Magazine "Picture Post" published his prints of the Spanish
Civil War describing him as "the greatest war photographer in the world".
More over, in the ground floor, the exhibition "Marvel, els anys 70"
can be visited, until July 20. The exhibition, organised with the programme
of the
Còmic
Nostrum 2003 and commissioned by Paco Díaz and Jaume Vaquer,
groups some originals created in the 70's by comic artists and writers
of
Marvel.
As for the Espai Quatre, the hall situated in the basement of the Solleric,
it is presenting until July 6 the installation "Frívoles variacions
variables" by the Valencian artist
Monique
Bastiaans.
