Exhibitions at the Casal Solleric
Paintings by José Manuel Ciria, photos by Robert Capa, comics by Marvel

The main floor of the Casal Solleric in Palma is housing until June 29 the exhibition "Teatre del Minotaure" by José Manuel Ciria (Manchester, 1960). The artist, considered to be one of the most original painters of its generation, presents in this exhibition his most recent series, featuring automatism, geometry and collage.

The exhibition by Hungarian photographer Robert Capa (1913-1954) called "Els rostres de la història" can be visited in the mezzanine floor until July 15. When he was 25 years old, the British Magazine "Picture Post" published his prints of the Spanish Civil War describing him as "the greatest war photographer in the world".

More over, in the ground floor, the exhibition "Marvel, els anys 70" can be visited, until July 20. The exhibition, organised with the programme of the Còmic Nostrum 2003 and commissioned by Paco Díaz and Jaume Vaquer, groups some originals created in the 70's by comic artists and writers of Marvel.

As for the Espai Quatre, the hall situated in the basement of the Solleric, it is presenting until July 6 the installation "Frívoles variacions variables" by the Valencian artist Monique Bastiaans.
