Sant Tomās Fair in Sineu
The slaughter of a pig.
Since 2003, the second Sunday in December, Sineu celebrates the "Fira de Sant Tomās-Mostra de les Matances" dedicated to the slaughter of a pig and its star product: the sobrasada.
The eighth edition of the fair will be held on December 12 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. The program includes the following activities: recreation of a traditional manor house, tasting of typical products of the slaughter, fat pig contest, exhibition of cattle, market, "glosses", taditional dances and exhibition and sale of products made in Sineu. Also worth stressing is the special menu that all the local restaurants will offer.
