Two years of government by the Progress Pact

After the elections of June 13, 1999, the nationalist parties and the left of the Balearic Islands signed the document called "Pacte de progrés" to facilitate a new parliamentary majority that would take over the presidency of the Government of the Balearic Islands and of the Mallorca, Menorca and Eivissa Insular Councils.

On July 22, 1999, Francesc Antich made his investiture speech at the Balearic Parliament, and on July 27, 1999 took over the presidency of the Balearic Islands.

Now, after almost two years of government by the Progress Pact, it is a good moment to draw up a balance and give an opinion on government action carried out by the Balearic Government and the Insular Councils. For this reason, MallorcaWeb has initiated a new debate where you can vote and give an opinion about the first two years of government by the Progress Pact.
